Saksham Social Trust is led by individuals who are passionate about creating a positive impact in the lives of women and LGBTQ+ individuals from marginalized communities. Our director, Priyanka, is a visionary leader, advocate for change, and a catalyst for empowerment.
Priyanka is a self-reliant professional and a respected role model in her community. She challenged orthodox social norms to pursue higher education, successfully completing her B.Com, M.Com, and MBA. With over six years of experience in the social sector, she has made significant contributions to the empowerment and development of girls, women, and LGBTQ+ individuals.
Recognizing the gap between skills and access to business knowledge and opportunities among women and LGBTQ+ communities, she serves as the Director of Saksham Social Trust. Through this initiative, she supports skilled individuals in establishing sustainable enterprises, enabling them to achieve financial independence and long-term economic stability.
Tara Tantubai | Director
Tara Tantubai is a dedicated social leader who brings lived experience, resilience, and compassion to her role as Director of Saksham Social Trust. Balancing her responsibilities as a working professional, a mother, and a community leader, she understands firsthand the challenges faced by women from marginalized communities.
Her daily life reflects the reality of many women Saksham serves—managing household responsibilities, supporting her children’s education, and contributing economically to her family. Alongside her professional commitments, she actively engages with Saksham’s programs, supporting skill development classes and community initiatives whenever possible.
Having faced financial constraints, stress, and limited personal time for over five to six years, Tara’s journey has strengthened her commitment to empowerment through self-reliance and dignity. Her leadership is rooted in empathy, perseverance, and a deep belief that access to skills and opportunities can transform lives.
Ananta Shetty | Finance
Ananta Shetty is a young and passionate social change maker and the youngest member of the Saksham Social Trust leadership team. With a strong background in Sports for Development, he has actively contributed to multiple initiatives under various non-governmental organizations focused on community development.
Driven by a belief in youth leadership and inclusive growth, Ananta brings energy, innovation, and accountability to the Trust’s financial planning and management. His experience working at the grassroots level enables him to align financial processes with programmatic impact, ensuring transparency and sustainability.
At Saksham Social Trust, he plays a key role in strengthening financial systems that support empowerment programs, entrepreneurship initiatives, and long-term community impact.
